Thoughts on a Plea Bargain

A plea bargain allows the prosecution to offer you a reduced charge and sentence, in exchange for you admitting guilt to a charge. Just because you are offered a plea does not mean the prosecution thinks you are innocent, that they have a weak case, or that you will win if you take the case to trial. Plea bargains allow the prosecution to resolve a case for what the prosecution considers to be the lowest type of charge and sentence that you deserve. If you do not plea, the plea bargain offer is taken back by the prosecution and if you are convicted you  may be subject to the maximum sentence allowed by law. If you have been charged with a crime and have been offered a plea bargain and remain uncertain exactly what you should do, please contact Howard Bailey any time, day or night
